Fauquier Co. Natural Gas Reliabilty

To meet the growing needs of homes, businesses and other natural gas customers in Fauquier County, VA, Columbia Gas of Virginia proposed to relocate and upgrade an existing point of delivery (POD), a point at which natural gas from a larger natural gas transmission pipeline goes into the local gas distribution system. The community was opposed to the structure which required a communications and public affairs strategy to ensure approval by the County Board. See more.

Children's Hospital Association
Speak Now for Kids

I was part of a team that delivered the association’s first grassroots advocacy website, Speak Now for Kids, to raise awareness for the needs of children just as policy leaders were crafting the Affordable Care Act. In subsequent years, Speak Now for Kids became the umbrella for the association's advocacy communications efforts, contributing to increased visibility for children's health care needs and legislative victories. American Society of Civil Engineers
World Trade Center Report

The American Society of Civil Engineers launched a forensic engineering study of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon following the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. Because of the magnitude of the event and the intense public interest, the study required communications support. In that role I managed the communications for the study including fielding incoming media inquiries, developing talking points and negotiating media exclusives to release the findings with the New York Times and PBS' Frontline.
